Caption, Oxford's annual small-press comics convention, was held in the Oxford Union Society, Oxford, England on the 18th and 19th of August 2001.

As in previous years, you will be able to:

• GASP at the selection on the small-press stalls [updated]
• Bring us your own comics and we'll sell them FOR YOU on the Caption stall
• Make some cool original art YOURS FOR EVER at our charity auction
• Create something SPECIAL in one of our workshops [new] (including an opportunity to create a photo-romance story!)
• Listen to our DREAMY guest speakers (further details when confirmed)
• SHARE YOUR TRUE FEELINGS at our discussion panels
• SWOON as the dashing National Theatre Of Earth Prime cut straight to the heart of another topical target
• CHERISH a programme chock-full of information, articles and black-and- white reproductions of original art from the auction
• Take a stroll through the TUNNEL OF LOVE...
• SIT in the bar, or the gardens.

Prices will be £8 in advance (£5 students/unwaged) or £10 on the door for the whole weekend. Sunday-only admission will be £3 in advance or £4 on the door. If you're feeling generous, Friend Of Caption membership is £15. T-shirts will be available for pre-order at £12 each. Please make cheques out to CAPTION. If you book early, we'll keep you informed of speaker and event details as they crystallize.

Any donations for the charity auction will be gladly received; please get in touch. All auction proceeds go to the Cartoon Art Trust. We'd also love appropriate art for the programme, and effusions of a romantic nature suitable for hanging from the ceiling for our 'Tunnel Of Love' exhibition.

Please spread the word! Caption's success is down to the people who come along, so let us know if you could use multiple flyers or put up a poster, or you know of somewhere we should be advertising.

We'd also love to hear from you if you would like to be on a panel (tentative themes are 'Traditional', 'Modern' and 'Weird' romance) or know someone who might; if you have an idea for a discussion, workshop or guest; or if you'd like to get involved in any other way.
