CAPTION ::

Basic information

Caption is a two-day comics festival held annually in sunny Oxford

Where?

Wolfson College, Oxford [venue details]

When?

Saturday and Sunday 30-31 July 2005

Who?

Comix fans and people who make minicomics and zines. We cover a broad church from photocopied minicomics to graphic albums and personal zines to mad Lois Lane comics from the Sliver Age.

What?

A festival celebrating DIY and small-press comics, with workshops, panels, stalls and the Caption Table, a mail-art exhbition, charity auction, and performance by the James Kochalka Puppet Theatre.

This year we are also remembering Andy Roberts, who died in June.

How much?

You can join on the door for £10 waged, £5 unwaged. Sunday-only memberships are £5. There is also the Friend of Caption membership at £20 for generous supporters.

Join us at CAPTION for a weekend of comix-related workshops, panels, exhibitions, and other amusements. Relax in the bar, in the big garden, or even by the side of the River Cherwell. Buy comics from our very select collection of stallholders. Leave your your own comics on the CAPTION table and we will sell them for you, leaving you free to join in the fun.
