[Caption-announce] Caption is Away with the Fairies

We've decided that this year's Caption theme will be Away with the
Fairies, which can be interpreted in any way you wish.

Caption will be taking place at the East Oxford Community Centre on
August 15-16th.

As usual we are asking for art for the programme
booklet/exhibition/auction, so get those pencils out and start drawing
fairies, fairy tales, winged mythological creatures or anything else
fairy-inspired. Single illustrations, comic strips and articles are
all very much appreciated.

Exhibition art can be in any format you prefer, but we do ask for
permission to print a copy of the piece in the A5 programme booklet in
black and white. Some people also donate their art to the Caption
auction, but this is entirely voluntary. We have yet to decide whether
the auction proceeds will go to future Caption events or an
appropriate charity.

Original artwork, copies and/or scans can be sent to Jay Eales, 38
Clarkes Road, Wigston, LE18 2BE. Exhibition/programme enquiries to
jay.eales at googlemail.com

As usual we will be running the Caption table, so that you can drop
your comics off for us to sell for a 10% commission. Due to space it
is unlikely that any other dealers tables will be available.

Confirmed events so far are a talk from Garen Ewing on getting Rainbow
Orchid published by Egmont and a scriptwriting workshop. If anybody
else would like to volunteer to be on a panel, do a talk or run a
workshop, on the theme of fairies, or which you think will be of
interest to Caption attendees, then please let us know:
